SUNDAY CHAT: THE POWER OF SPEAKING THINGS INTO EXISTENCE

speaking things into existence

Have you ever considered how much power our words hold? For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been told that there is power in speaking things into existence. In recent years, those words have never held a truer and yet personal meaning.

There really is power in speaking things into existence.

After breakfast with a friend this morning, I started to wonder if others truly understood what an impact your own words can have on you. Be it negative or positive, your words and what you manifest have the ability to change you in some way.

In the bible the book of Proverbs 18:21 specifically states, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat it’s fruit.

In layman’s terms this speaks to those who take one of two routes. The person who speaks and lives in death and despair will only ever remain in a place of death and despair. The person who chooses the latter (life)? Well, they shall surely benefit because of it.

So it goes without saying that there is truth behind speaking what you wish to manifest into your life. Though it may not always seem simple, it can be.

Stating things like, “today’s going to be a great day that I will make it through” OR “I won’t give up on doing whatever it takes to _____” could honestly make all the difference. You could even speak into existence the life you pray to have and what you hope to accomplish in your future.

You know?

It’s all about finding ways to promote a life of positivity. Consequently, turning the desire’s of your heart into something tangible. You’d honestly be surprised what a difference doing so might make in your life.

Don’t get me wrong though! Trying to incorporate that way of thinking can be difficult because

1) Weirdly enough a life of despair is comfortable (being sad everyday or down and out is easier than actively working towards being happy) & 2) Bad behavior is learned behavior and breaking it takes a conscious effort on the individual’s part.

However, doing so isn’t impossible.

The universe (God) has a way of listening if only you’d reach out and share your wants and needs.

In my case, it’s something I’m working on doing more of this year. I can only hope after reading this you all will give it a try as well. I can’t wait to see how our lives are changed for the better because of it.

After all, in the words of J.K. Rowling:

Words are the most inexhaustible source of magic we have.

To speaking things into existence, one positive word at a time

Thelms, I love this post. It is TOO TRUE that it’s easier to stay down than it is to try and work toward consistent happiness. I’ve suffered with depression for most of my life, and that really resonates as my truth. It’s the reason I started my blog! Thanks for sharing this message with the world, my dear.
