She tried to make home out of someone who didn’t see her for all that she is,
It broke my heart to know that things turned out as they did.
With each tear, I realized it was my time to impact some knowledge and words of advice,
Though it may come across harsh — I wanted to ensure it came off just right.
I said,
Don’t you ever try and make a home out of someone who can’t be bothered to let you inside their heart, for that home is a place that can’t be entered without being welcome from the start.
& if you begin to question your worth and where in which you stand, please be reminded that the measure of your worth shouldn’t be determined by that mortal man.
God’s light is within you, so that alone makes you worth every effort beyond belief,
Don’t waste your time comparing yourself to others, comparison boy is it such a thief.
The thief of happiness and lasting joy that settles us from deep within,
Sweetheart to be robbed of such bliss should be considered a grave sin.
