Better days are ahead I promise, try not to let the world leave you down and out,
This poetry piece is meant to be that reminder, keep this close and remember I had no doubts.
If ever someone you meet even tries to dim your light,
I hope you remember that your star was always meant to shine bright.
Even on the days that make you regret attempting to face another day,
Better days are ahead, your life is valuable to someone somewhere so please stay.
Please don’t leave this world because you feel it’s your very last resort,
Stay hopeful and remain grounded in prayer, you’d be surprised how doing so can lead you out of sorts.
BUT PLEASE,
Share your heartaches with someone don’t keep it all caged in,
You are not what life has subjected you to, you are more than any sin.
Though short I hope this snippet of hope stays with you and never ever strays,
May your nights be good ones, with the potential for even better days.
