COMPILATION OF MY FAVORITE POETRY WRITINGS

Poetry

Today’s Wednesday, so of course that means its Poetry Wednesday y’all! However, I’m taking a break from putting the pencil to the pad. This week I’m pulling from other poets that inspire/speak to me and sharing them with y’all. Not to worry though! I’ll be back with an all new original writing next week. But for now, I hope y’all enjoy this.

So keep reading as I share a Compilation of My Favorite Poetry Writings.

Here goes nothing.

“Damaged people love you like you are a crime scene before a crime has even been committed. They keep their running shoes beside their souls every night, one eye open in case things change whilst they sleep. Their backs are always tense as though waiting to fight a sudden storm that might engulf them. Because damaged people have already seen hell. And damaged people understand that every demon that exists down there was once a kind angel before it fell.”
Nikita Gill

“I hope you are blessed with a heart like a wildflower. Strong enough to rise again after being trampled upon, tough enough to whether the worst of the summer storms, and able to grow and flourish even in the most broken places.”
Nikita Gill

“People confuse past with present. They think you are still who you used to be, when that person has long since died their death.”
D.j.

“I am sorry someone loved you badly, and that they made you feel like you take up more space than you deserve. I am sorry they abandoned you when you need them the most and it has made you believe that love is an awful thing that hurts.”
Nikita Gill

“Let people be hungry for you. Be unavailable from time to time, you’re focusing on your shit.” Unknown.

“Instead of asking why they left, now I ask. What beauty will I create in the space they no longer occupy?”
Rudy Francisco

“One day, you will be where you want to be, and you will find peace there and who knows, maybe you will even find love there.”
R.M. Drake

“The saddest word in the whole wide world is the word almost. He was almost in love. She was almost good for him. He almost stopped her. She almost waited. He almost lived. They almost made it.”
Nikita Gill

“It’s funny how we outgrow what we once thought we couldn’t leave without, and then we fall in love with what we didn’t even know we wanted. Life keeps leading us on journeys we would never go on if it were up to us. Don’t be afraid. Have faith. Find the lessons.”
Unknown.

“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.”
Ben Franklin (with so many wise words and sayings, he might as well have been in my eyes).

“Life is unpredictable, it changes with the seasons. Even your coldest winter, happens for the best of reasons, and though it feels eternal. Like all you’ll ever do is freeze, I promise spring is coming and with it brand new leaves.”
E.h.

“There are parts of me that will always remain untamable, messy, and reckless; but I refuse to apologize for it anymore.”
Kaitlin Foster

“Trust me when I say — when it is right, everything that you love ruthlessly, will love you back with the same conviction. Trust me when I say — when it is right, the things you reach for in life, the things you deeply hope for, they will reach back. And I promise you when that happens you will understand, that all the things you ached for that did not work out, all of the hearts that failed to appreciate the home you made for them inside of yourself, they were not the things that broke you, or ruined you, or make you feel les worthy. No, instead, you will see that they built you. They taught you about yourself. They led you to the person you were meant to be with. They shaped you. They challenged you. They grew you.”
Bianca Sparacino

“There are so many things on your plate right now, and a whole lot of things to figure out, but if ever for a moment you start to feel like you cannot continue, take a deep breath, reflect, and remember just how far you’ve come.”
Morgan Harper Nichols
