Yesterday was such a great day y’all. I bowled for the second time in my life and even won a game. I also chowed down on the yummiest chicken sandwich (that just might have put Popeyes AND Chick-fil-a to shame in my eyes). All the while tapping into great conversation. It was a dreamy afternoon if I must say so myself. The venue responsible for such a good vibes? Pinstripes on Kirby!
If you’re a Houston native and have never heard of this amazing spot, not to worry. You’re still very much in the know because I’m putting you babes on game now.
SO keep reading, as I dive into how I fell in love with Pinstripes in one sitting (food, customer service, ambiance) + why I’ll most assuredly be back.
Here’s a tiny bit of backstory first.
Pinstripes is a one stop shop for all your fun, food, and game needs.
I discovered it by just driving down Kirby y’all. I live in the area and two weeks back, while on my way to another eatery I just happened to look up and to the left and there it was.
PINSTRIPES.
I had never heard of it and being that I’m always in the area, I figured it had to be up and coming.
Up and coming it was! It was set to open a few days after I stumbled across it. Naturally because I’m such a foodie, I KNEW I had to go.
THE AMBIANCE
The inside of the spot that is sure to give places like Main Event a bit of a run for their money is MASSIVE. You could literally get lost inside. From the two story expansive building that houses multiple bars, and an entire bowling alley, lanes for Bocce, and so forth… I walked in and I’m pretty sure my jaw was hanging on the floor. The vibes were chill and were perfect for feeling comfortable to drink with friends after work or catch a game of bowling with your special someone. Definitely a weekend spot. For sure! To be honest, it’s a shame that they opened after I made my birthday plans because I’d be in there hosting a group of my closest friends without question.
THE SERVICE
Spectacular. It’s the most honest way I can use to describe the service. Well… I guess I could also add outstanding, impeccable, genuine, etc. Nevertheless, you all get the picture. I’d imagine with a place the size of Pinstripes, staffing is a priority. It’s clear that it is to them anyway. Although I arrived to eat in the middle of the day, when most everyone is still at work… S/o that being a nurse life lol. My needs were attended to at every turn. I also want to take this time to personally thank Fernanda at the bar who’s service was pristine. She was so sweet, very patient, and well versed on Pinstripes as a whole. Pinstripes bosses, a raise may need to be in her very near future.
THE FOOD
I’m already salivating this morning just thinking about the food. It was soooo good y’all. I got the:
Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich that consisted of
calabrese sauce, housemade pickles, jalapeno slaw & Truffle Fries.
They were both to die for. I know that because these days I don’t often finish my food when I go out. Not because it isn’t good. More so that it is, but I’m a lot more conscious of what I’m eating. However, with that meal? I threw caution to the wind and indulged.
THE BOWLING ALLEY
As I was saying earlier in this post, I have only bowled once in my life. So when I found out they had bowling I jumped at the opportunity to begin working on my skills. The bowling alley is massive, but with the way everything is set up… Is that really a shock at this point lol. The large windows to the right of the lanes further solidifies the ambiance in the best way. Did I mention I won a game WITHOUT bumpers?! Yeah well. I’m game and ready for my next opponent lol.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Pinstripes on Kirby. I recommend that if you’re a Houston native or someone visiting from out of town — you hit up this spot ASAP.
You will enjoy yourself a bit too much and if you get the mean I did, dream of it and wake up salivating like me.
