Call me crazy for wanting to go after the things I don’t have. For thinking that any of those things could be mine. For pursuing those things so relentlessly that they do become mine, eventually.
Or would you rather call me crazy for wanting a love so deep that some say the ocean might be jealous. For believing that the man with that love to give is out there somewhere. Waiting for me to blow into his life like a tidal wave.
In that case.
I’d much rather you call me crazy for being a believer or maybe even a dreamer. Because those words alone encompass so much. They encompass hope. A hope that dreaming up my heart’s desires will amount to something. Something magnificent. So magnificent that when you call me crazy, I promise this time I won’t even mind because I’ll know with assurance why.
You’ll call me crazy because damn it I did it.
I dreamed up a life so grand and went after it. Hustling night and day to turn my dreams into a reality. I found the love, myself, and my life — with some determination and just enough bravado to accomplish it all.
So yeah, like I said. I don’t mind you doing it. Calling me crazy that is.
Because everyone needs a bit of crazy and just a dash of blind faith to become a believer like myself. Believing that the life you want is in reach. If only you’ll just reach.
