THE ’99 AND 2000’s: STYLE EDITION

The '99 and 2000's: Style Edition

Besides Juvenile releasing his classic hit in the ’99 and 2000’s, other things were going on in the world — specifically in my mom’s closet. During this period, my mom’s closet was the place to be. From vintage printed tops, to wide leg trousers, and timeless floral dresses; her style was all the rage.

How rage worthy you may be wondering? Picture this.

Vintage faux versace printed tops.

Floral dresses that resembled Alice & Olivia’s designs of today.

Skirts that replicate the femininity that is the Chloe brand.

& Those are just the three that come to mind as I write this post. There were so many treasures to find and some I still have yet to come across.

It’s no wonder that these days I’m raiding my mom’s closet every chance I get. After all, with the era of fashion we live in today, classics like the ones described in her closet continue to reemerge like they never left or went out of style.

Naturally, in today’s post I’m sharing details on one of those closet gems. SO keep reading for everything you need to know on this floral sleeved maxi dress babes, from my mom’s The ’99 and 2000’s: Style Edition.

So this look.

The moment I raided my mom’s closet an found this gem, I knew it had to be mine. For starters, it checks of all the boxes on my ‘Thelma’s wearing requirement’ for all clothing (minimalistic in nature, comfortable, and feminine).

Can we all just say in unison, “Check, check, check.”

The navy blue of the dress is what initially drew me to it to begin with. There’s just something about navy blue that is appealing on females no matter in what capacity. Of course the floral print further supported the cause of appeal. I specifically loved the tiny button that lined the front of the dress because it practically oozed femininity.

I paired the look with black sandals that I snagged from here. Though in retrospect I probably would have substituted them for these chestnut colored sandals from here instead.

Ya live and you learn baby loves, LOL.

But anyway. Due to you all not being able to raid my mom’s wardrobe, I figured I’d link a bunch of beautiful floral dresses like this one, so you can still get the feel of the ’99 and 2000’s: Style Edition.
