Happy Friday y’all! After a long, but rewarding week I am so dang excited that the weekend is finally here. Or will officially be here in about five or so hours LOL. I tend to find that even when I do have to work on Fridays, I feel lighter somehow because the weekend’s technically here. In the spirit of such, I figured I’d share my weekend playlist with y’all. These are the songs I will be jamming to all weekend and getting my turn up to. Shaking ass, whining, and throwing back drinks, most definitely included.
However, before I tap into my weekend playlist — can we talk about the way the music industry has been stepping on our necks with new releases from some of our faves this summer?!
This summer has been one for the books y’all. Not only is the sun disrespectfully scorching, trying to give us a heatstroke every time we step out the house — but the music this summer has been on one as well.
Whew.
& Thank God for it.
Drake hit us with a Care Package that we weren’t expecting, but as loyal fans most definitely deserved. Beyonce got talents from the African community (& a few others) together and created a magical soundtrack for The Lion King film.
