WHEN LIFE DOESN’T GO AS PLANNED

When life doesn’t go as planned, my darling trust the reroute. Trust that at times the plans we have may not be the plan HE has for our life & that of our future. 

Understand that life is ever changing and evolving. With the challenges of every day life disturbing the bubble of perfection we hope our life will consist of. Often times life will not go as planned.

It’s something we all are forced to understand at some point in our life for one reason or the other.

For instance,

Maybe the guy isn’t who you thought he would be. Or the job you dreamed of decided to go with someone. Maybe the baby you want so bad isn’t ready to be yours yet (miscarriages). Or the things you want aren’t the things you need, so they keep slipping out of your grasp… sometimes, life doesn’t go as planned. 

As for me, I realized life doesn’t go as planned four years ago. I had plans to get into nursing school by a certain age, finish, and start working. HA, boy was that NOT the case because life doesn’t always go as planned y’all. There’s a reroute that we will all be subjected to.

I mean yes I eventually became a nurse at 24, but on HIS time and not my own.

However the key, the thing you should remember most? When life doesn’t go as planned, keep pushing forward. Don’t be discouraged and distracted. Hone in on who you are and what you bring to the table. Your blessings should not be measured by what didn’t go right or as planned. Instead measure your blessings by focusing on the little things.

My dear, you are alive — you woke up this morning and by God’s Grace are able to experience a new day.

I guess that in itself is no small thing. So rather than focusing on the small things, I’ll rephrase.

Focus on the things that we tend to take for granted too often.

Maybe yesterday was shit and last week wasn’t any better…

But you’re still here.

You still have another opportunity to have a better day. A better life. A better future..

So I’ll say again and this time I pray it sticks.

When life doesn’t go as planned, trust the reroute. Bigger and better is on the way.

& don’t forget to thank God in the midst of life not going as planned. Thank God for it because my dear bigger and better… whew it’s on the way.
