Goodmorning babes and happy Monday! Whoop. It’s the first official week of December and also 20 more days till Christmas. Hoooollla. Obvi I’m very excited because I love Christmas and Christmas time in general. There’s so many fun things happening during this time of the year: ugly sweater parties, Christmas caroling, gift giving & receiving. I mean, they don’t call it “the most wonderful time of the yeeeeaaaaar” for nothing. Although, there are days when I love this time of the year’s weather and then other days (like yesterday) that I could use more sun and less clouds.
It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is over already, just like that. Come baaaaaack. No but seriously. All the goodness that goes into Thanksgiving Day always makes me so giddy with joy. Who doesn’t love Thanksgiving? I definitely got stuffed (burrito style) after my first plate, but had so much fun hanging & chatting it up with my family before the “-itis” (soooo stuffed, you’re drowsy) got to me.
I’m warm and cozy. Snuggling behind the covers in my big bed for one. I can smell the food downstairs. Mom’s released her magic in the kitchen. Thrilled. We’re all thrilled. But the TV’s on and it’s so loud. Ugh sleep don’t go.
Hello bbs! One more day till Turkey Day and I’m ooobvi so excited I had to jump straight into that. I mean, who doesn’t love Thanksgiving? All the food and being stuffed till it looks like I’m four or five months pregnant (give or take — weeeeell depending of course on how much cornbread I consume) is always fun. Getting a waft of the pumpkin and apple pie (my mom makes both because she’s a superstar) and wanting to have a slice before you’re supposed to. Well that part, isn’t great because it’s torture. However, it’s torture of the best kind and when it’s finally time to dig into that pie…? I’ll be face first in my plate, trying to remember how to spell torture; let alone recall what it felt like. Ain’t no shame in my game y’all!
Good morning bbs! It’s finally a good morning over here because I’m almost fully recovered from the flu. *CHEERS I’ve been stuck at home for five freaking days and it’s been torture. Torture like getting on Instagram and watching snaps has been the highlight of these past few days, torture. I mean the first few days of being sick you don’t care to do anything or see anyone… BUT. When your sickness is coming to an end… WELP, you can’t wait to break free of random pieces of tissue wrapped around yourself or throw off the oversized sweater (known to once keep you warm) that’s now suffocating you, into the distance.
Hallelujah for meds!
