My body is only for living & loving, a daily reminder to myself,
as often as I recite it, you’d think I’d be sure of that one thing if nothing else.
Because God didn’t create me to harp on things he never meant for me to change,
if that was the case the Bible wouldn’t teach how wrong it is to love him and ourselves in vain.
Instead it teaches us to love ourselves with our whole hearts, enough to carry us through each day,
I promised myself this year I’d remember that if ever my thoughts turn negative and attempt to carry me away.
Granted some days are better than others, this I’ll never deny,
However, I’ve always believed it better to focus on the good days, and leave the demons where they lie.
My hope is that if you take nothing else from this, you at least remember that your body is only for living & loving,
Be kind to yourself, please baby,
The strength you’ve always had to do so is worth trusting.
