My Words

Reflect

reflect

Reflect. Reflections happen for me once a week on Sunday. Everything makes no sense and yet when today comes it all falls together.

Reflect. Recollect the week and bring it all to the surface. My challenges throughout the week make room for solutions. I choose to reflect. Reflection today gives me peace of mind because the day is always so calming. My mind, body, and soul connect to the serenity that Sunday brings almost immediately. The morning is so peaceful and the afternoon remains much of the same, well into the evening. My thoughts today aren’t jumbled by the blare of car horns at a busy intersection or the poignant smell of black coffee on a Monday morning, like it is throughout the week. So I reflect. I reflect on the terrible headache Monday brought because I woke up in fear knowing I was late. I reflect on how Tuesday ended due to the fear of missing deadlines because I waited last minute. I reflect on the anxiety stress brings when something hasn’t been done that needs to be done. I reflect on the happiness and ultimate glee Wednesday brought. Friday was a shit show, for lack of better words. I reflect on meaningful and not so meaningful connections between people that surround me. I reflect. And as I reflect, I consider how to do things better for the coming week.

Reflect. Recollect the week and bring it all to the surface. It’s good for you. Your challenges through the week will make room for you to come up with solutions. Ways to amend… Reflect. For your health and peace of mind. Give your soul a chance to recover and start fresh with what the week may have to offer.

My question to you on this beautiful Sunday afternoon, do you reflect?
