HI BABES.
I’m finally coming up for air after nearly drowning in homework, study guides, and flashcards this past weekend. After taking my third Pharm test today and feeling pretty sure I aced it, one things for certain. I deserve to reward myself with a treat or three.
That means hitting the town and basking in warm days in Houston like a pro.
In preparation (like a good girl and maybe a bit of a shopaholic), I decided to go shopping! As I feel like all you babes can attest to — fresh threads have a way of making you feel like anything is possible or better yet, accomplishable.
However, because I much rather shop from the comfort of my own home, I snagged everything online which turned out to be a bit of a mistake. P.S. I can’t wait to show you guys on the blog soon, they’re so good.
As to why it was a mistake, ordering things online is always tricky. Confirmation emails, tracking numbers, and order confirmations do nothing to really assure you that your package will come when the company says it will. In my opinion, 98% of the time, it’s all bullshit.
Why?
Things happen that sometimes is out of the control of the postal service or not in enough control of the seller shipping you their goods.
Needless to say, I didn’t get any of my packages in time for this weekend. SO, rummaging through my closet for oldies, but goodies became the ultimate move.
Without realizing it, the outfit I threw together is completely from Forever 21. I mean, from the angle in my neck to the soles of my feet, completely.
This top has a light cotton feel to it, so I never get too warm! I love white for daytime looks because it screams, practically yells crisp and clean. I paired the top with this houndstooth mini skirt that I bought a year or two ago — and am STILL getting compliments on.
Sidebar: when you’re still getting compliments on something you’ve snagged a bit ago, that’s when you know you made a gooood investment.
I finished the look off with my most recent purchase from Forever 21, faux leather sandals that I’ve worn a few times and can’t get enough of.
I’m now off to dinner with a girlfriend! We’re trying out a new taco place and I’m so excited because if you read my 15 Facts About Me post; you know I liiiiiiive for a good taco.
