THE TO DO LIST THAT WILL TAKE YOUR LEVEL OF PRODUCTIVITY TO NEW HEIGHTS

to-do list

I’ve always been a to-do list kind of girl. The one who has to plan out her day to day activities in order to get anything done. If not, my day is a disaster and the level of productivity I experience can only be described as nonexistent. However, there’s more to a to-do list than just making one. Sticking to one to produce adequate productivity is the real challenge. Not to fret though. In today’s post I’m sharing tips on how to create your dream to-do list that is sure to take your level of productivity to new heights. Keep reading for more babes.

After years and years of creating to-do lists to which I execute timely and efficiently, I’ve learned a few tricks.

The first?

Create a list that’s achievable y’all. The biggest problem that many of us face when making a checklist or to-do list of some sort is setting our goals way too high. & before you say anything, yes there is a such thing as setting goals too damn high. In the grand scheme of life, we have always been taught that no goal desired is too high. That may be true, but for the sake of this conversation and where to-do lists are concerned… not so much. When your to-do list demands too much than you are prepared to give, you set yourself up for a few things. Disappointment and irritation are a couple of emotions that come to mind.

The second?

Write your to-do list in a notebook or planner. It’s never a good idea to write down your checklist for the day on a random piece of paper. For one, it more than likely will get misplaced never to be seen again. Two, referencing what you achieved may be harder to do. A notebook or a planner is your best friend (though I personally prefer a notebook). It’s so rewarding to look back on what you’ve accomplished in days past. It also helps to elicit a fire in you because it’s a reminder of what you’re capable of. Seeing as you’ve accomplished a number of tasks prior.

The third?

Create each to-do list the night before. It’s when your mind is most settled and can actually think through the things you need to accomplish the following day. Making a to-do list the same morning as the day you need to get those things can be a bit challenging. Why? Well, it’s the day of and sometimes we tend to put more on a plate than we can handle. I’m not sure if it has to do with waking up and feeling there’s so much to be done. Or, that there’s so much left in the day ahead that, why couldn’t you complete the 15 things you’ve outlined?

The last?

Believe that you are capable of achieving the tasks you have outlined on your to-do list. Sometimes, hell all the time it really does come down to mind over matter. What you believe has the power to shape what you achieve. Did y’all get that? I’ll type it again. What you believe has the power to shape what you achieve. It’s all in your thoughts. You can accomplish anything you set out to achieve, if only you would truly set out to achieve it.

With these four tips, I hope to see your level of productivity reach new heights.

This is a great blog article on proper planning. Each morning I prepare a ‘Plan of Action’ and it is quite satisfying checking off each item throughout the day. Thanks for sharing.
