Hola babes! I’m back again with another new post. Whoop whoop!
Am I on a roll OR WHAT?
Ever since re-familiarizing myself with what inspires me, I’ve had an eagerness to be back on the blog posting and chatting with you guys constantly. It makes me feel so good to know that a lack of inspiration happens to the best of us, but as long as we find it again; everything will be okay.
So in finding that inspiration, it’s made me reevaluate my thoughts about the direction I want to go in with, With Love, Thelms and why I started it in the first place.
As simple as the name of my website comes across, I’m not always sure the meaning behind it does just as easily. Or maybe people have their own assumption of what my site means to them? I mean it’s just as well because I have platforms like my site to explain what the name of my site means to me.
Quick wittle run down for my wittle babes newly joining the tribe:
I started my blog about a year and some change ago, when I was feeling like I had so much I wanted to share but had no where to share it. With some probing from a friend, I finally decided to take the plunge and share what I love with the world. I didn’t know who was going to like it or who was going to tune in, but I didn’t care.
All I knew was that I wanted to share things that interested me and have my voice heard, but never with anything besides love.
There and then, the name of my site was born.
I always new that picking the name of a blog is uber important. Considering: Is it catchy? Is it easy to find/spell in google? Is it childish? Will it ever get tiring?
These were all things I considered and then I asked myself the most important question that helped me land on a name for my blog:
Why are you creating this blog Thelma?
Based on my response, ‘I want to share myself, my interests, and what I love. BUT I never want to come across as a blogger know it all or one that people think is trying to push her loves on others. I hope everyone leaves my blog feeling like everything I shared was with love and no malice whatsoever.’
I knew then I’d found the name that would stick with me, grow with me, and never get old.
With Love, Thelms
At the end of the day, I stuck to what was true to me and that’s where With Love, Thelms was born, will thrive, and remain.
I hope you babes remain on this journey with me and stick to the tribe. Let’s stay thick as thieves.
