FOR THE LOVE OF SHAVING

shaving

Morning babes! Today’s such an exciting day. So exciting, I woke up this morning and practically jumped out of bed. Almost ate my bedroom floor, but nevertheless I hightailed it out of bed this morning. I sang in the shower louder than usual, had enough time to shave precisely (more on this in a bit), and applied my falsies in record time. Did I mention today’s an exciting day? I don’t want to leave you guys in suspense, so I guess I should get to why today’s almost got me losing my shit.

I’M GETTING MY HAIR CUT TODAY. Yes, I’m a doof who gets excited about getting her haircut. It’s the simple things in life, right? Right. If you guys only knew the drama surrounding this, you’d have a blow horn and cake ready to celebrate my impending haircut. I can’t even go into it all without tainting the excitement surrounding today.

Getting my hair tended to is like much needed girl time with my hair dresser. She’s so down to earth, hilarious, and super sweet. Ever since stumbling upon her last year, I’ve sworn to never see another stylist about a haircut again. Scout’s honor (I was almost a girl scout, so I totally get to use that… I think). I can’t wait to show you guys. Hopefully, I can get my hair dyed today too!

Outside of getting my haircut, I’m really pleased with myself for allotting enough time to shave this morning. I love to shave, as weird as that sounds. Well, when I have enough time to and am not tripping over jeans trying to squeeze them on because I’m late. There’s something so relaxing about shaving my legs knowing that they’re going to be silky smooth after. I usually prefer shaving at night, but because I had enough time this morning I figured what the hell. Rules were meant to be broken. I prefer nighttime shaving because going to bed after a bath with clean sheets and freshly shaved legs? DREAMY. Do this and I swear you’ll have the best sleep of your life.

I love these razors and this shaving cream because they don’t cause irritation to my skin. I have very sensitive skin which can be a blessing and a curse, In this case, it’s a blessing because it’s not limiting from finding great products that I love. Shaving gives me one on one time with my thoughts and relaxes my mind in preparation for what’s ahead. Most times, bed is ahead for me.

I know No Shave-November is coming up and outside the message behind it concerning those with cancer, I don’t think we have to subject ourselves or our partners to wildebeest legs. Get your shave on girl. Your sheets and SO will thank me. I’m sure of it.

love + light tribe.
