Good morning bbs! It’s finally a good morning over here because I’m almost fully recovered from the flu. *CHEERS I’ve been stuck at home for five freaking days and it’s been torture. Torture like getting on Instagram and watching snaps has been the highlight of these past few days, torture. I mean the first few days of being sick you don’t care to do anything or see anyone… BUT. When your sickness is coming to an end… WELP, you can’t wait to break free of random pieces of tissue wrapped around yourself or throw off the oversized sweater (known to once keep you warm) that’s now suffocating you, into the distance.
Hallelujah for meds!
Stepping outside this morning for the first time in daaaaaaays, has me feeling two things.
Excitement. I’m actually able to step outside without collapsing (I shooooould do my happy dance, but my energy level isn’t all the way up yet. I’ll chill before that alone causes me to collapse).
AND.
Thrill. It’s actually cool in Houston right now?! Say whaaaaat. Give me cooler temps, please give me cooler temps. I can’t stand being hot or relatively warm, so waking up to 61 degrees has me feeling all kinds of good this morning.
Speaking of cooler temps, I am so excited to whip out my turtles (turtlenecks). You guys have no idea.
What baffles me the most now, is how I could have possibly hated turtles when I was in grade school. They’re so darn cute. This turtle is from here and one of my favorites because it’s cropped. I loved it so much I bought this exact one in mustard yellow as well!
This skirt is also from the same place the top is from! I love incorporating two dominant textures into one look — in other words, the heavy knit and faux suede situation is working for me.
I polished the look off with some casual tennies from here! Though I’m not one to shy away from sandals as the weather starts to get cooler, but for this look my tennies just worked best.
YOU GUYS. After taking a look at this look in its entirety, doesn’t it just scream, ‘let’s grab a warm cup of joe and trade stories about what we each want for Christmas and why‘?! It sure does for me.
I am now heading back into the living world. I’m getting out of this bed and catching up on everything I’ve missed for the past week. I’m not gonna lie though. I’m a wittle sad that I no longer have an excuse to be lazy LOL.
BUT. I’d rather that than be sick as a dog.
